About the Artist
Bounds-Seemans is known for her fun and folky acrylic paintings and embellished craft objects. Her latest series, Seahorse Love, features Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, and Spring themes. “The show is an ode to spring,” says Bounds-Seemans. “The works are inspired by springtime, flowers, and Botticelli after a snowy winter.”

Bounds-Seemans received an MFA in painting from Highlands University in Las Vegas, NM. She is a Delaware Division of the Arts fellowship recipient and won Best Artist from Torpedo Factory Art Center in Alexandria, VA. Her works are owned and displayed around the world.

About Alternatives Museum Store
Alternatives Museum Store at the DCCA is an eclectic retail gallery featuring an assortment of mixed media and precious metal art jewelry, innovative ceramics, fused glass and porcelain serving ware and sculpture, matted prints and photographs, original artist-designed cards, lino-cut prints and collage, and a variety of fiber art including hand-printed linens, ties, scarves, and bags. You will also find exhibition catalogs both past and present and art inspirational books, toys, and art supplies for all ages. The DCCA's Alternatives Museum Store was the recipient of NICHE Magazine’s 2009 Best Museum Store and a 2010 NICHE nomination.

Works by regional and national artisans make up the collection of functional and decorative handmade items that have been individually selected for quality and innovative design as well as each artist’s contemporary approach. Each artist-made item is either one-of-a-kind or limited-production. The store is an ever-evolving space where a selection of regularly displaying artists are enhanced by featured artist shows, national juried exhibitions, and curated work by top-level collegiate programs highlighting a variety of craft mediums.
