Kirk Kirkpatrick, One Good Turn, LLC
June 5, 2014 – July 25, 2014
Opening Reception: Friday, June 6th, 5 – 9 pm
One Good Turn LLC is based out of Haddon Heights, New Jersey and is currently displaying work at The Factory in Collingswood, New Jersey and The Markeim Art Center in Haddonfield, New Jersey. Kirk has more than thirty years of experience in developing his woodworking style. He received his BA in Industrial Arts Education at Glassboro State College in 1976, and then worked as an instructor of woodworking and design, AutoCAD, photography, drafting and design, and graphic arts until his retirement in 2013. For several years, Kirk has been creating his collection of handcrafted work for display at various craft and fine arts festivals. This collection celebrates both a deep appreciation for creativity, as well as quality craftsmanship. In a process called polychromatic turning, one-of-a-kind utilitarian artworks are crafted in finished natural woods. The artist selects contrasting species of wood, which are then shaped on a lathe. No stains, paints, or dyes are used in Kirk’s work. Colorful and unique, these pieces are perfect for decoration, entertaining guests, or as cherished keepsakes. One Good Turn LLC is owned by Kirk and Nancy Kirkpatrick.
