Cave to Contemporary: Art Class for Homeschoolers

Ages 7-10
12 Tuesdays, September 6 - November 22

Experience the evolution of art in this class designed specifically for homeschoolers. Students will develop creative and observational skills as they explore art history and appreciation while creating projects using a variety of mediums and techniques.
 
The Fall class, "Cave to Contemporary," will focus on elements of drawing such as contour, shading, and point perspective. The series will continue with a Winter painting class and Spring sculpture class (dates TBD).
 

Mixed Media Sculpture
Ages 7-12
4 Saturdays, October 8 - October 29

Students will bring contemporary portraits to life in 3D form during this 4-week session using various recycled, found, and 3D materials. Students will explore a combination of techniques that emphasize color and design.

Drawing
Ages 10-14

Explore basic drawing techniques using different media such as graphite, charcoal, and colored pencils.

Painting
Ages 10-14

Learn the fundamentals of painting and explore a variety of techniques using wet media such as watercolor and acrylic.
